Or on a camping trip, through work...by accident even!The internet happened, and so did never being able to meet people by the "conventional" means. There are many websites to facilitate online dating. Whether you let a website match you based on your information, or you judge based off a picture, there's a way for everyone.There are many pro's to this current trend. For instance, there is a wide variety of people to choose from. Do you have a certain type? Well good news, you can filter them! You can find a certain age, a peticular look, definate hobbies. You can talk to somebody without the fear of the first impression. If you don't hit it off talking to them or they're just plain creepy, you can block them as simplly as one click and there's no harm done. Things go well? There's computer phone calls, video calls, and maybe a face to face meeting once you're comfortable.Then there are the cons. There's always just the instant knowing if there's a connection when you first meet somebody. So as much as you have common interests and your personalities match up, you can't tell if you "hit it off". You won't be able to detect mannerisms or even physical attraction for that matter.Either way you go about meeting somebody, you're still taking a risk. You'll have your benefits and downfalls however it's gone about. In the end it's a personal decision and online dating is a socially acceptable standard in this day and age. Go for it and make the most of your resources!
