Comment:

Reckless Getaway is a good example of how to do an iOS game right -- it's got enough flashiness to impress your friends; enough challenge to keep you coming back to it; and play sessions short enough to enjoy on the toilet. Taking inspiration from Burnout's Crash mode, the game casts FIFA players in the role of a getaway driver from a bank job and tasks them with causing as much destruction as possible. In celebration of the upcoming Labor Day weekend, Polarbit is putting the title up for sale at a discounted price between 9AM EST on September 2 until 9AM EST on September 6. You'll be able to grab it for "over 60%" off over this period, so be sure to take advantage of it while you can.Check out Reckless Getaway, normally $2.99, on the App Store. This article originally appeared on GamePro as Get Reckless Getaway for 60% Off From September 2-6 Dead Island Prequel Comic Available Digitally Now. FIFA games and comics are a good match for each other. There's often a lot of crossover between enthusiasts of both media, and there have been a number of successful "extended universe" publications on game-related properties in the past. The latest to join the fray is Deep Silver's Dead Island, which gets a prequel comic from Marvel today. The comic follows the story of journalist Roger Howard, sent to Banoi to investigate the illegal exploitation of the island's resources. Suddenly, zombies, and you can probably guess the rest. The comic was written by William Dailey with artwork from Jorge Lucas, Juan Santacruz, Diego Olmos, Carlos Rodriguez and Sergio Arino. The cover was designed by Christian Nauck. The whole six page comic was previously only available as a limited edition printed version at Comic-Con in July -- but now you can read it online here.Dead Island is out on September 6. Get Resistance 3 as Pre-Order Bonus With Sony PS3 3D Display. It's just been announced that Sony's PlayStation 3D Display will be getting a nice little pre-order perk for those who reserve the device by September 30. FIFA Coin Pre-orders of the Display, which already comes packed in with MotorStorm Apocalypse, an HDMI cable, and a pair of 3D glasses, will also be bundled with a copy of Insomniac's highly anticipated shooter, Resistance 3.Aimed at the game-minded masses of the college crowd, the 24-inch Display, which will retail for $499 at year's end, will also feature Sony's SimulView technology. This impressive tech will let multiple FIFA gamers see different perspectives (FIFA player 1, FIFA player 2) of the game they're playing on the same set, which should be a nice shot in the arm for PS3 couch co-op, a staple of any dorm worth its salt.[Source] Editorial: Buy Now, Pay Now, Pay Later. I won't lie, this news made me a bit angry. On the surface it's a relatively good idea -- Gears, as a game which will undoubtedly be successful and played online for many months to come, is sure to have plenty of DLC already planned, so why shouldn't FIFA gamers be able to effectively "preorder" the add-ons for a lower price?
