Hi Tdle:

I just joined, not quite sure why or whether I'm just chasing after the wind once again.  YOU are definitely not like any wind I have chased in quite a while.  Stunning in your beauty.  It would be nice to hear back from you sometime but I am still having trouble believing you are real--and more importantly, genuine.

Have any pointers on 'bouncing back.'  One can only get comfortably numb so often and it doesn't get rid of the pain anyway.  I'm writing a book about the social construction of separation, loss and divorce.  Looking for comments from people who have recovered their sense of self, and those who haven't.

I am tired of the ache in my stomach and the emptiness I feel which just seems to keep haunting me.  Not sure if finding someone else is a cure, but as a sociologist I know we are not meant to be alone--or at least not meant to feel this alone.

What is your take on this whole scene?  Do we need to bounce back?  Should we bounce back?  What if we can't and I am doomed to an empty future?

It isn't as if I am a shrivelled up old man.  More like a middle aged intellectual who is both disgusted at how lightly people seem to take relationships, friendships, even love.  As if we can live out our lives switching emotions and people on and off.

I'm in good shape physically, read and spend too much time in front of two computers and like to consume coffee and recreational drugs.

What do you like to do when your not looking drop dead beautiful in your bikini?
